NEPCON China 2015 to Highlight New Electronic Materials

31 Mar 2015

NEPCON South China,    Visitor Rre-Registration, Exhibits, NEPCON South China 2015 On-site Preview

The rapid development of the electronics manufacturing industry exerts great pressure on the environment, despite not being energy-intensive. China’s environment indicators lag far behind those of developed countries. NEPCON China 2015 will include, for the first time, a new materials forum to explore current conditions and development trends in China’s electronics materials industry.  The objective is to mitigate energy worries, promote industry restructuring and improve electronics manufacturing processes.

A High-End Event To Explore Development Paths

The forum, set to attract top professionals in electronics materials, is a highlight of NEPCON China 2015. Leading industry associations, including SMTA, SPCA, the Electronic Tin Solder Group under CEM, and ITRI-IPC will staunchly support the forum. About 150 participants will join.  Among these will be professionals from R&D, program management, technical support, procurement, marketing and sales.   Also online will be industry experts, end users and media representatives. The forum will cover a wide range of applications, including consumer electronics, electronics manufacturing, telecommunications, automotive electronics and control/safety/test services, among others.  Participants will learn about new technologies in the fields of semiconductors, components, display panels, PCB, batteries, tin soldering, and adhesive materials.  The forum will also be a great opportunity to exchange on topical issues involving materials upgrades.

With consumers’ growing demand for aesthetically appealing devices, electronic products are getting smaller, more energy efficient and more environment friendly. The materials used to make the electronic devices shall follow the same trend: improving in terms of efficiency, safety, flexibility, and environmental friendliness so as to meet the diverse needs of the market. Boasting big promises and huge potential, electronics materials are expected to lead the wave of industry upgrade in the coming years.

Leading Brand Names Gather to Offer New Electronics Materials

The forum plays an instrumental role in bridging upstream and downstream players and promoting diverse development. At NEPCON China 2015, leading companies, including AIM, ALPHA, Henkel, ITW, Zestron and KAKEN TECH, will launch a number of green tin solder materials, cleansing equipment, and other new materials, in line with the forum theme. The new materials on show are evidence of the burgeoning green industry trend.

Committed to high quality materials used for semiconductor packaging and PCB assembly as well as advanced welding solutions, Henkel (Booth B-1G35) will launch its new LOCTITE GC 10m.  This is a tin solder paste that can be stored for long periods under normal temperature and offer significant improvement in processing.  Among its features, LOCTITE GC 10 leads the industry in paste-transfer efficiency, and delivers up to 24-hour abandon time.  It offers a best-in-class "zero halogen" reflow formulation, while also delivering the shiniest Pb-free solder joints in the industry.  Additionally, the solder paste offers stable and consistent printing transfer as well as a wide reflux window.  LOCTITE GC 10 boasts higher activity, which significantly improves welding stability.

AIM Solder Shenzhen (Booth A-1G74), a leading solder company, will showcase its new M8 wash free solder paste. Building on its Pb-free T4 and finer tin power technology, M8 offers refined processing, stronger durability, and wider applications. Stable printing is enabled for super fine particles and umBGA equipment, whereas reduced DPMO is possible with the most challenging electronics applications. More importantly, cleaning chemicals are used when producing M8; therefore, any residue can be cleaned with ease, strongly facilitating environment protection efforts.

ALPHA (Booth A-1D55), new to the China market, will bring multiple products to the show, including pastes, alloys, scaling powders, SnBiAg and many other section materials. ALPHA is ready to provide the most comprehensive welding solutions for electronics manufacturing. Pb-and Ag-free, ALPHA® SnCX Plus™ 07 is designed for double surface assembly, simple or complex. The tin, copper and other distinct additives provide easier welding processes, producing better effects.

ITW (Booth A-1D50), a specialist in electronic cleaner R&D, production, and marketing, brings to the show CBA in-process cleaning fluxes, steel grid cleaners, PCB-protection paints, ESD cleaning and protection agents, solder braids, flux pens, coating pens, and many other convenient products. ITW is a one-stop service center for all electronic cleaners.  It is the best option for industrial electronics and PCB assembly.

ZESTRON (Booth B-1C35) offers world-class water-base cleaning technologies. Building on its MPC technology, the ZESTRON solution ensures excellent cleaning results and leading compatibility by effectively erasing any flux residue on the surface of electronic components. ZESTRON water-base cleaning products can be filtered and recycled, offering much longer life cycles, which in turn reduce costs. The products are green and safe, helping over 2,000 customers worldwide to improve their processes.

Cleaning fine circuits and semiconductor electronics has long been an industry challenge. KAKEN TECH (Booth B-1J01) offers an extra-fine cleaning system that cleans all fine electronic components at the push of a button. It provides an advanced fine-washing system, eliminating any pollution and supporting recycled use.

It is not the first time that the electronics manufacturing industry has gathered to explore future development prospects.  But it is the first time at NEPCON China that peers have gathered together to focus on new electronics materials. As a key part of electronics manufacturing, environment friendliness and safety of electronic materials affect the whole industry. The urgent application of advanced technologies to production and materials adoption is imperative.  This will improve the image of China's electronics manufacturing industry.
